Privacy note

MicDrop is a place to sing karaoke with friends over video. Here's what that means for your info, in plain English.
No accounts, no database
MicDrop doesn't have accounts. Your name tag (name, character and signature song), your trophies and your list of rooms are saved in your own browser, not on our servers. Your character and trophy count are shown to the people in your room.
Your camera and mic
Your video and audio go live to the people in your room, and nowhere else. MicDrop doesn't record or save them. Anyone in a room could still record their own screen, so only sing in front of people you trust.
Bar chat and the sign-up sheet
These are passed between the people in the room while it's open. They aren't saved anywhere after everyone leaves.
Private rooms
Only people with an invite link can get into a room. Anyone you give the link to can pass it on, so share it carefully.
Other services we use
LiveKit carries the video, audio and chat between people in a room. YouTube songs play through YouTube's own player, which follows Google's privacy policy. Fonts load from Google Fonts.
What we don't do
We don't sell your info, and we don't show you ads based on it. MicDrop isn't meant for kids under 13.
Your choices
You can turn your camera or mic off anytime, edit your name tag, or delete it and your room list with the button below.
The fine print
MicDrop is provided as is. You're responsible for what you say, show and sing in a room. We aren't responsible for what other people in a room say, do or record.
